What is EdCamp Victoria? EdCamp is a new way to facilitate Professional Development Days for K-12 public school teachers that is more personalized and focused with a variety of topics that are important to teachers rather than designated topics for discussion. The format of the talk is directed by the teachers and support staff and the people present have the opportunity to really dive into their learning.
How EdCamp works:
- On their own those present will generate topics to talk about
- Using small pieces of paper then post them up on a board/wall
- The facilitator will double check for overlap
- All those present will then vote on three topics they would like to talk about
- The topics with the majority of the votes are then talked about in small groups
