Today we were introduced to different video editing platforms and did some introductory exercises. The recommended tool to use was iMovie because it is quite user friendly. Unfortunately, iMovie is only available on devices running MAC and requires at least IOS 13.0.0 to function, so I wasn’t able to download it one my phone and I’m a Windows systems person. However, iMovie isn’t the only video editing application and for those who are more comfortable using Windows OS, like myself, there is DaVinci Resolve.
It was interesting to see and experience what can be done with video editing systems. Unfortunately it took nearly the entire class time set out for experimenting for the application to download and install on my computer so I wasn’t able to explore the program in class. Although I did find time to play around with it later. It was fun learning how to use these applications, however I can’t see myself using them very frequently in my day-to-day life.
